Some Like It Warm: Brass in Design

With the reappearance of brass in design over the last few years, a shift in tastes has clearly taken place from cooler metals that almost evoke a sentiment of sterility to yellow-toned brassy shades that were popular during the Victorian era.

This trend quickly faded with the Art Deco movement but was resurrected by figures like Gio Ponti and Milo Baughman come Mid Century, as mentioned by The Wall Street Journal.
